德国美女骑自行车跑遍北京城，这些画面惊艳国人！
导语：我们常常因为“不识庐山真面目，只缘身在此山中”忽略了所处环境的美，1933年到1946年间德国摄影家Hedda Morrison以她的“山外人”视角捕捉到了中国的美。
1908年，Hedda出生于斯图加特一个富裕的中产阶级家庭，父亲在一家出版公司工作。1911-1912年因患小儿麻痹症，影响了身材和步态，她进行了一次大手术，却仍然留下了困扰一生的健康问题。11岁时，她得到了一台Box Brownie相机，这激发了她成为一名摄影师的决心，并在德国学习了摄影。
1933年，她离开了日益受到纳粹控制的德国，来到当时被称为北平市的北京，在老外交区的军政街3号的Hartung摄影店工作。这是一家德国人开的商业照相馆，她任经理一职，管理17名当地摄影师。Hedda很快掌握了基本的普通话和少量的粤语，在业余时间，她独自到中国北部的部分地区进行考察。合同期满后，她继续作为自由摄影师在中国工作。

Hedda Morrison的镜头下记录了1933年到1946年期间的中国的建筑风景、市井街头、传统手工艺、生活习俗等。随着时代变迁，她当时拍摄记录下的中国风貌很多早已不复存在，因此这些照片成为了珍贵的史料素材。

Hedda将她在中国居住的这十几年拍摄的约6000张照片及10,00张底片悉数捐赠给了哈佛大学的燕京图书馆。她的丈夫称该图书馆是"为她所热爱的城市和人民的愿景提供了最好的永久家园"。
1946年，Hedda嫁给了Alastair Morrison（生于1915年），他是伦敦《泰晤士报》驻北京的记者，George Ernest Morrison博士（1862-1920）的儿子，也是一位摄影师，有摄影集《Old China through G E Morrison's eyes》。

Alastair在1992年写道："她骑着自行车在这个伟大的城市里转悠，脖子上总是挂着她的禄莱相机，她从不缺乏拍摄对象。除了广泛的建筑研究外，她对手工艺和人们的日常活动特别感兴趣。"
除了中国，在1941年到1966年间，她还前往东南亚等国进行拍摄考察。1967年，莫里森夫妇搬到了澳大利亚，他们住在堪培拉，在那里Hedda为澳大利亚信息服务局工作。1990年，堪培拉摄影协会授予她终身会员的称号。
Hedda Morrison的作品在新加坡、美国以及澳大利亚国立大学、堪培拉摄影协会、悉尼的Powerhouse博物馆和澳大利亚国家图书馆都举办过展览。Powerhouse博物馆收藏了大量她在德国、亚洲和澳大利亚拍摄的作品。在经历了一场突如其来的疾病后，Hedda于1991年在堪培拉去世，享年82岁。
Hedda Morrison用相机永远定格下那个年代的中国，她眼中的中国。当我们再次看到这些图像时，仍然能感受到那个时代中国的脉搏。
